More than five years after the recession, the number of lawyers at the nation’s biggest law firms remained virtually flat in 2014, showing a scant 0.6 percent increase, according to The National Law Journal’s NLJ 350.

Our annual survey of the nation’s largest 350 law firms shows that 147,518 lawyers held jobs last year. The tally of partners, associates, counsel and staff attorneys was just 900 lawyers more than in 2013.
