The University of California, Berkeley School of Law’s Human Rights Center has been awarded $1 million by the MacArthur Foundation—the Chicago nonprofit organization best known for its “genius grants” to promising individuals.
The money will establish an endowment and expand the center’s efforts to highlight and prevent sexual violence around the globe.
