The Jones Day team working on Detroit’s bankruptcy still has its hands full.

“It has slowed down from 24/7 to just seven,” says partner Heather Lennox, who, along with her partners Bruce Bennett and David Heiman, took the lead in shepherding Detroit through the city’s historic courtroom rebound. Last Friday U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes confirmed the plan they proposed for Detroit to emerge from its Chapter 9 proceedings, capping a furious 20-month effort. With the plan confirmed, the Jones Day team now has to close the deals that compose it. “There’s a ton of work to do,” says Lennox.
