Last December, on the first day of a hearing on a motion seeking to vacate the murder conviction of Lamar Johnson, Jonathan Potts of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner put on the direct testimony from a former neighbor of Johnson’s who confessed to the murder in open court.

Pott’s partner Charles Weiss followed that up by putting on testimony from the only eyewitness in the original murder trial. He recanted his identification of Johnson from 28 years ago.
