Tales of what it’s like to try a jury trial remotely are starting to trickle in. While the data points we’re looking at are more qualitative than quantitative at this point, trial lawyers tend to be just as comfortable working in the world of anecdotes as they are with statistics, if not more so.

So the story of Coreen Wilson of Wieck Wilson in Bellevue, Washington, should provide anyone looking at the possibility of going before a jury remotely equal shots of comfort and anxiety. In a webinar presented Thursday by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy called  “Lessons from a Zoom Jury Trial,” Wilson described her defense win before a remote jury earlier this summer.
