As the Sept. 9 contempt-of-court criminal trial of Steven Donziger approaches, the controversial lawyer has intensified his battle against the court-appointed special prosecutor in the case, the civil RICO-case judge who leveled the criminal charges against him, and the Southern District of New York federal judge presiding over the looming bench trial.

He is flooding both the federal trial court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit with filings, arguments, accusations and pleas for a delay or dismissal of a trial that could land him in prison for up to six months.
