A litigation funder that sued prominent plaintiffs attorney Thomas Girardi over unpaid loans claims that he has failed to completely pay up on a $16 million deal to settle the case.

Lawyers for Law Finance Group filed court papers in LA Superior Court this week indicating that the Mill Valley-based litigation funder reached an agreement in May to settle claims that Girardi refused to turn over fees he and his firm Girardi Keese earned from cases that were promised to repay loans totaling $12,240,000 before interest.
