Talk about a case blowing up in your face.

Smack in the middle of a $1.37 billion trade secrets trial against Russian oil giant OAO Gazprom, plaintiff Moncrief Oil International Inc. abruptly agreed to drop the case over the weekend, after Gazprom’s lawyers at Baker Botts uncovered evidence that a key document in the trial had been faked.
