McAfee Labs has released its seven threat predictions to cybersecurity for 2014, according to blog post by Peter Vogel. With the growth of mobile malware, sophistication of cybercriminals and threats to cloud applications, there are lots of things to watch out for in 2014.
Mobile malware: The report predicts the trend of mobile malware targeting Android devices will continue at great rates, while malware targeting PCs remains stagnant. The analysts also are betting on some new trends. “It is highly likely we will see the first real ransomware attacks aimed at mobile devices that will encrypt key data on the device and hold it for ransom.”
