Big data has been a game changer in more than one arena, spawning a whirlwind of laws and technological solutions still in the midst of shaping the future of the way our information is handled. When it comes to security and compliance, however, a growing number of organizations are coming to a consensus that encryption is a viable solution.

This is the indication of Thale’s 11th annual survey of global encryption trends, which found that more enterprises are adopting encryption solutions in response to the proliferation of cyberattacks, consumer concerns, compliance regulations relating to privacy, and the transference of data to the cloud.
