As crimes and information continue to slide from the real word into the digital one, investigators are increasingly required to examine clues through code rather than a magnifying glass. So it’s no surprise that the digital forensics market, according to a report published by IndustryARC, is set to grow at an annual compound rate of 14.2 percent to reach $4.8 billion in revenue by 2020.

The market growth will be focused in the Americas, which will account for a 60 percent of all digital forensic companies by 2020. Europe will have the second largest digital forensics presence. Its annual compound growth of 19.2 percent to 2020 will be less the 25.2 percent in the Asia-Pacific region market.
