Canon Business Process Services (CBPS), a provider of managed services and technology, announced the enhancement of its CaseData web-based document review system with keyword reporting and new database management tools. The new enhancements will offer greater control for law firms and corporate legal departments that want to use CaseData without tapping the consulting support provided as part of the CaseData subscription service.

The keyword reporting capability will enable attorneys to discover relevant information more efficiently, while reducing document review time. Keyword reporting is a critical component that seeks to advance the process of refining search strategies, allowing legal professionals to provide CaseData with lists of keywords and patterns. CaseData is designed to execute those searches and provide reports containing information that helps to identify false positives, in addition to statistics that illustrate the effectiveness of each term. Users can combine this type of information with an iterative process of testing and sampling to achieve more effective discovery goals.
