There may be optimism for a revitalized Safe Harbor agreement in the next few months, but for now, the challenges of navigating data privacy laws are at the top of mind for every corporate legal department and law firm working internationally. And if that’s the case, then it’s surely weighing on the minds of the third party legal technology vendors as well: Just how can data be stored locally, remain secure, and still useful for litigation?

For converged data protection and cloud solutions provider Druva, the answer lies within an expansion of the company’s cloud footprint. Druva has undertaken a new strategic alliance with Microsoft to extend Druva cloud solutions to Microsoft’s Azure public cloud and infrastructure platform. Druva’s platform, originally based off of an Amazon Web Services (AWS) back-end, will now extend into 21 distinct data storage regions, including China and Canada.
