Historically, applying for a trademark has been an arduous process, and even then, trademark professionals are often left unsure if their searches are thorough enough to protect the intended brand. Now, however, Thomson Reuters is looking to release an antidote and speed up the trademark cycle: Trademark Clearance.

Trademark Clearance is an online tool, using the company’s SERION platform, which allows customers to quickly search preexisting trademarks within minutes. This new tool, Thomson Reuters said, should allow trademark professionals to mitigate the risk of going to market without a clearance search by allowing them to access increased information on their own.
