Email – it’s everywhere. It’s the first thing many lawyers check when they get up in the morning; it’s what they then proceed to stare at all day; and it’s the primary form of communication in law offices across the country. So, it’s no surprise that when LexisNexis Legal & Professional looked to upgrade its Firm Manager product, finding a place for email was high on the list.

LexisNexis announced on Sept. 22 that Firm Manager’s next upgrade will include email integration, allowing users to save emails and email attachments with an associated client case in the system. For example, the company said, if an attorney emails an engagement letter or strategy document to a client, a unique identification number will associate that email record with the appropriate case file.
