On June 22, the Supreme Court rejected Google’s appeal in a patent infringement case brought by Verederi. In the lawsuit, Verederi claimed that Google violated four of its patents, originally issued between 2007 and 2009, covering methods for creating synthesized images of a geographic area through which a user may then visually navigate via a computer.
