Mattern & Associates, a cost recovery and legal support services consulting firm for the legal industry, released survey results on how law firms manage e-discovery and litigation support services and recover those costs from clients. The survey was conducted from March 2 to 26 with 59 U.S.-based firms ranging from midsize to Am Law 100.

The consulting firm conducted the survey to ask law firm leaders key questions, including:

  • Are clients willing to pay for in-house e-discovery services?
  • What e-discovery services are billed to clients?
  • Should firms invest in people and technology to provide in-house e-discovery services?
