The American Bar Association Techshow at the Hilton Chicago featured approximately 100 vendor exhibits from April 16-17. The legal technology exhibites focused their offerings for small and midsize law firms and, just like Legaltech New York, their watchword was “integration.” Vendors are continuing to align their business models and technology to offer lawyers and law firms an array of software that works together to help manage law business and practice.

One of the best ways to sell technology to the legal industry is for the product to sell itself, such as WordRake. WordRake helps you write to the point and reduces unnecessary words and clutter in Microsoft Corp.’s Word processor and Outlook messaging that can lead to miscommunication (see LTN’s review here). Lawyers appreciate document editing tools and grasp how WordRake works, which is similar to Track Changes in Word.
