A new valuation tool from Magna Legal Services, called Jury e-Valuator, aims to determine the value of a legal case. Specifically, the tool predicts potential damages if the case were to go to trial, calculating potential losses on a scientific and statistically-based assessment.

That makes the product useful, especially in the current legal climate. “Both sides of [a] case want to know what they have in dollars and cents,” Peter Hecht, executive vice president at Magna Legal Services, told Legaltech News. “Knowing the estimated value based on real data can lead to quicker settlements or a smarter investment for war in the courtroom.”
