Many people characterize the “modern lawyer” as a Terminator-grade cyborg who has more circuits than sense. But practicing lawyers know this is not necessary or realistic. The key to the “modern lawyer” is using “modern technology” to enhance the attributes of great lawyering: legal proficiency, efficient client communication, efficient practice management and creative advocacy. Rather than being the Terminator (a robot in a human shell), we believe the modern lawyer is more akin to the Six Million Dollar Man: a human, enhanced by technology.
