I use my laptop for audio communication nearly every day. I frequently use my law firm’s Google Voice telephone number with Google Hangouts to make and receive calls. I attend conference calls and webinars online, I am a guest on podcasts, and I record videos for my firm. The feedback I have received from my video production: good quality but the sound quality will improve if I had a microphone that was separate from my camera.

Law Technology News sent me a box of MXL USB microphones to incorporate into my law practice. Each one was fairly simple to use and installation took a few minutes. I only needed to plug the cord into the microphone and the laptop and the drivers were automatically installed. All of the MXL microphones are compatible with Apple Inc.’s Mac OS X and Microsoft Corp.’s Windows operating systems.
