Perfect timing: Thursday, the revival of Annie the Musical opened on Broadway, complete with its signature refrain, “the sun’ll come out.” Timely, indeed, as this week’s forecast has only one day with predicted rain for the battered tri-state area! At the risk of being just a tad bit East Coast-centric, I want to first send LTN‘s best wishes to all our colleagues who are still struggling with Sandy (not the dog, the storm).

To help Northeast firms still coping with outages and damage, LTN‘s parent company, ALM, has just announced a relief program. First, we have donated to the American Red Cross to help those affected. Second, we are offering free replacement of our Law Journal Press and other ALM books damaged as a result of the storm and flooding. Third, we will help three law firms get back on their feet, with $2,500 cash and a free bundle of ALM legal information products that includes their regional legal newspaper, SmartLitigator, VerdictSearch, a selection of LJP digital titles and continuing legal education opportunities from CLECenter.com. The three selected firms will also be eligible for significant discounts on subscriptions to select ALM legal products and publications.
