World Software Corp. on Tuesday announced the general availability of a legal hold module for its Worldox GX3 Professional document management software.

GX3 Professional, intended for desktop use, debuted at LegalTech New York early this year. With the legal hold function, which was demonstrated at the show, authorized users can comply with a legal hold order by assigning and restricting access to files and groups, with all actions recorded in an audit trail, officials of the Glen Rock, N.J.-based company stated. Held files can remain visible in GX3′s search function, they said.
