Legal professionals need to be proficient in adding documents to their workflow and publishing documents as work product for clients. There are few devices better suited to accomplishing those tasks than a multifunction printer like the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

I reviewed the Officejet Pro 8600′s predecessor, the 8500, in November 2009. Both printers are multifunctional color inkjet printers that can scan and fax black-and-white and color documents and convert text in images to editable text in rich-text or text format. The new Officejet has approximately the same weight and dimensions, but now sports an accessible, 4.5-inch color touch-screen display that can be adjusted and operated with one hand. The new printer has rounded edges that give it a less boxy, more aerodynamic look. Perhaps that’s the reason the 8600 is a little faster in one-sided printing and almost twice as fast in two-sided printing as its predecessor.
