On Wednesday, legal tech startup Skribe.AI announced that it raised $3.5 million in seed funding. The startup looks to streamline the court reporting processes by using AI to produce transcripts of legal testimony. Skribe, which operates on Zoom, offers rough transcripts of same-day live testimony, and final transcripts three to five days after, for $349 per recorded hour, according to its website.

In a press release announcing the funding, the Austin, Texas-based startup noted that it will use the funding to “accelerate growth into targeted states and cities” and “strategize and execute early-stage initiatives in preparation for widespread commercialization.” In addition, Skribe plans to expand its “customer success, sales, and marketing teams” using the funding.
