Calloquy: The remote litigation and court reporting platform, Calloquy, announced on July 18, the achievement of its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II certification. Calloquy President and CEO David Carter said in the press release: “With the achievement of the SOC 2 Type II, we are proud to demonstrate that our commitment to security has been independently verified. The focus on securing depositions is especially important as law firms’ cyber security efforts face new scrutiny amid the onslaught of cyber hacks and security breaches.” The certification report examined the provider’s controls and security features as they pertain to virtual litigation platform, virtual breakout rooms and data transfer protocols. Additionally, the new certification will also include Calloquy’s court reporters and scopists, the press release added.
