A federal judge sentenced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes to a little more than 11 years in prison and questioned the possible motives for the former Silicon Valley tech executive’s fraud against investors.

In a sentencing hearing Friday, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila of the Northern District of California, who is overseeing the case, said “this case is so troubling on so many levels.”
