Fraudsters have turned to messaging service WhatsApp in the latest bid to impersonate law firms during the pandemic. 

Scammers “spoofed” top U.K law firm Linklaters, contacting individuals on the messaging service about a foreign business transaction requiring action in the U.K. before inviting them to contact a “Linklaters lawyer” on a false phone number, according to an alert by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
