To be sure, COVID-19 threw U.S. courts into a crash course on virtual proceedings, noted panelists during the Clio Cloud Conference’s “Future of Virtual Courts” discussion on Thursday. But in the midst of the pandemic, courts discovered online courts streamlined pathways to justice for litigants who have routinely felt overwhelmed by the legal system. To keep the momentum, courts said technology will continue to play a significant part in legal services post-coronavirus.
