Having worked as a commercial litigator in London for five years and then in recruitment with Michael Page Legal since 2004, I have seen the market move considerably and believe the recent news reports correlate with what is happening in the main legal centres in Scotland and the surrounding areas. Indeed, they are the focus of high-level growth and investment. The demand for experienced lawyers in areas such as corporate finance, property and banking and finance is greater than ever across many sectors, particularly financial, retail, and leisure. However, opportunities exist within all legal specialisms and in all industry sectors.
