Hammonds is set to recoup nearly all its legal costs from its epic High Court battle with the Football League, after a judgment that has thrown lawyers’ commercial responsibilities under the spotlight.

As first reported by legalweek. com, the judgment of Mr Justice Rimer last week substantially ruled against the League’s £142m negligence claim, ending one of the highest profile disputes against a commercial law firm in recent years.
