The appetite for European real estate has been growing among UK investors. While the market is hotting up, the levels of acceptable risk appear to get higher as expectations for returns seem to be managed downwards.

Pan-European initiatives by newcomers, bid wars for select assets, newly-targeted secondary property markets and investor willingness to take development risk are all manifestations of the same trend: UK players’ perception of an expanding European investment horizon and a resulting ‘buy market’ throughout most of Europe.
