Sweet & Maxwell, the UK-based legal publishing arm of Thomson Corporation, has unveiled software for assessing damages in personal injuries claims as part of its Lawtel online information service.
With the Lawtel Schedule of Damages Application, practitioners input basic information about the case, including the type of injury and medical expenses, to assess the value of a damages claim “in a fraction of the current time.” They also can access eight built-in calculators to make further adjustments.
