The deployment of technology in the delivery of legal services is still at the “plumbing stage”, with the “really exciting stuff” due to take place in the next decade, according to leading academic and consultant Richard Susskind.

Susskind made the claim at the annual Society for Computers and Law (SCL) lecture on Monday night, in which he outlined his predictions for the future of technology, ten years after first addressing the society, when he launched his influential book The Future of Law.
