Berrymans Lace Mawer, a major insurance and commercial law firm, has rolled out the WinScribe digital dictation system to five of its UK offices. The firm says the solution has proved popular with both fee earners and secretaries since the launch of a pilot in January 2004, and plans are underway to set up the system in all seven national locations. More than 650 staff are creating client documents in a fraction of the time, the firm claims.
The system was implemented by WinScribe’s exclusive UK Platinum Partner SRC, and comprises Philips SpeechMikes for dictation in the office and a telephone module enabling fee earners to record dictations while working remotely.
