The Government today (21 March) pledged to introduce radical legal services reform in a move that looks certain to allow companies to hold stakes in law firms.

Unveiling the formal response to the 2004 report from Sir David Clementi, the Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer said the Government would produce a white paper later this year which will adopt the Prudential chairman’s liberal reform agenda.
