Norton Rose has been hit by another senior departure with highly-rated corporate partner Jonathan Coppin resigning from the firm to join the London arm of Shearman & Sterling – the third partner to leave a major City practice for a US rival in a week.

Coppin – who handed in his resignation on Monday afternoon (4 November) – is the 10th UK partner to leave Norton Rose in the past two years.
