Two Herbert Smith assistants have become the first solicitors to qualify as solicitor-advocates under new regulations introduced last year.
Senior lawyers Jane Swann and Joel Smith have achieved rights of audience before all higher courts having applied under the recently passed Higher Courts Qualification Regulations 2000.
