The senior partner of leading insurance firm Weightmans is to stand down just three months into his second two-year term of office following a strategy review of the firm’s senior management.
Michael Edge, who has headed the partnership since 1998, was elected unopposed to the job for a second term in April.

However, the firm announced on Tuesday (11 June) that following an annual strategy review, its central management is to undergo a complete restructuring and that Edge will stand down.
The firm plans to introduce a ‘strategy board’ consisting of a new senior partner, managing partner, and three equity partners.
