The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) recently released the findings of a web sweep survey of websites across the UK, indicating that some online retailers do not comply with the legislation intended to protect consumers while shopping online.

Of the sites surveyed, 14% of websites did not provide a physical address on their website or only provided a PO Box number, one in five did not provide an email address, 40% did not comply with the compulsory additional charge information requirements, and 15% did not give shoppers the correct information on their rights to cancel.
