While I am no expert on the legal profession, or even on what it means to be an associate at a law firm, I am in touch with what it means to be a new associate at a law firm. I have recently started working as a litigation associate, and I am starting to reflect on the experience so far.
Soon, new lawyers will arrive who will actually see me, the new guy, as a voice of experience. When I look back on the things I’ve learned over my first six months in practice, the most important lessons are the following:
