White & Case has refreshed its executive and partnership committees following the re-election of chairman Hugh Verrier.

The firm has introduced a new role of vice-chair, with former executive committee member and banking partner Dave Koschik appointed to the role. The role sits alongside the four-person executive committee and was added in an effort to expand the firm’s leadership team to better match it’s growing footprint, a White & Case spokesman said.

New York partner Heather McDevitt has been appointed to the firm’s executive committee by Verrier, who has also reappointed Sao Paulo partner Don Baker and former London managing partner Oliver Brettle to the group.

Eight new partners have been elected to the U.S. firm’s partnership committee, four of which are women.

Washington, D.C.-based partners Nicole Erb and Shamita Etienne-Cummings, New York partner Eliza McDougall and Shanghai partner Vivian Tsoi have all made the cut.

London partner Gareth Eagles has also been elected, along with Washington, D.C., partner Peter Carney, New York partner David Hille and Paris partner Andrew McDougall.

Hille and Erb had previously sat on the partnership committee.

Baker was first appointed to the firm’s executive committee in 2015, while Brettle has been a member since 2009.

Project finance partner Verrier was re-elected as chair of the U.S. firm last month to a fourth consecutive term, to begin in September.

He was first voted into the position in 2007 and will now remain in the post until 2023.
