Ex-A&O partner to rebuild Milbank City corporate
Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has taken the first step in rebuilding its London corporate practice with the hire of former Allen & Overy (A&O) corporate co-managing partner Stuart Harray. The firm voted on Harray's appointment earlier this week and he started at Milbank today (21 Feb). His hire comes less than two months after the firm's only UK qualified M&A partner, Tim Emmerson, quit the firm to join New York giant Sullivan & Cromwell. London-based US corporate partner Michael Goroff is also set to leave the firm later this summer.Trio join up for Thomas Cook-MyTravel merger
Sullivan & Cromwell, Slaughter and May and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have come together to advise on the £3bn merger between Thomas Cook and MyTravel, announced earlier today (12 February).
