Allen & Overy has hired a new corporate partner in Hong Kong.
Alex Tao was most recently Hong Kong-based counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell advising on China-related capital markets deals. This year, he advised Chinese brokerage house Orient Securities Co. Ltd. on an $876 million initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In June, he also represented Wuxi Construction and Development Investment Co. Ltd. on a $300 million bond offer.
