Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has recruited the secretary general of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center as regional counsel based in the Chinese territory.

Chiann Bao will start at the firm’s international arbitration practice on Sept. 1. In her current role, Bao oversees the operation and administration of the HKIAC. During her six-year tenure, she has led the opening of the arbitration institution’s offices in Seoul (2013) and Shanghai (2015) and the revision of the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in 2013.
