Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and the U.K.’s Solicitors Regulation Authority have come under fire in a report into a ScottishPower warranty scheme, published April 20.

The energy giant allegedly failed to pay out 75 million pounds to hundreds of thousands of customers who had bought a warranty for white goods through its PowerPlan scheme. They were promised the cost of the warranty would be refunded if after five years they had not claimed on it.
