Australia’s Clayton Utz has hired a new partner in Sydney.

Ashley Tsacalos joins from Norton Rose Fulbright where he has been a partner advising government departments on matters including contractual disputes, tort claims, judicial review, regulatory enforcement and privacy. This year, he has represented a commission of inquiry appointed by the Australian federal government on an investigation into institutional responses to child sexual abuse and another commission of inquiry on a probe into trade union governance and corruption. He starts at Clayton Utz in February.
