O’Melveny & Myers has hired a China-focused partner to work from its Newport Beach office.

Anthony Wang joins from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where he was a Shanghai-based partner. Wang specializes in China-related mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and capital markets transactions, especially in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. Last year, he advised a group of Chinese investors led by Bank of China and private equity firm Hopu Fund on a $2.5 billion investment in Singapore’s Global Logistic Properties Ltd., which operates logistics warehouses in China.
