Experienced female lawyers in Australia are paid about a quarter less than their male counterparts, a survey by the College of Law Australia has revealed.
The results suggest that pay inequality is not a legacy issue because female respondents at every level of the legal profession in Australia reported earning several thousand dollars less than male lawyers, the college said.
