Allen & Overy has hired a partner from Shearman & Sterling in the first lateral hire for the firm’s London office this year, the firm announced on Monday.
The firm has brought in litigation partner Susanna Charlwood, who joins A&O after five years as a partner at Shearman. She joined the firm in 2013 as a counsel having previously trained at A&O.
